The U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced the virtual workshop "Bringing Dark Patterns to Light: An FTC Workshop" will be held April 29. Researchers, legal practitioners, consumer advocates and industry professionals are invited to join for a wide-ranging discussion on topics related to the manipulation of consumer autonomy, decision-making or choice via the deceptiveness brought on by dark patterns. The FTC is also calling for research presentations, recommendations for discussion topics and requests for panelists ahead of the workshop.
