Desjardins Group agreed to a $201 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit over a 2019 data breach affecting nearly 9.7 million Canadians, CBC News reports. Under the settlement, subject to approval by the Quebec Superior Court, current and former members and clients of the financial services firm would be eligible to receive compensation for identity theft and loss of time related to the breach. It also offers Equifax credit monitoring services for five years.
