Australian Information Commissioner and Privacy Commissioner Angelene Falk has been reappointed to another three-year term. “This is a pivotal time for both privacy and freedom of information,” Falk said, adding she is honored to continue the office’s important work “to protect and promote personal information privacy.” Work over the next three years will include “regulating the online environment and high privacy impact technologies, expanding the Consumer Data Right,” and “advising on and implementing proposed reforms to the Privacy Act 1988.”
