  • Facebook is pausing development of its “Instagram Kids” product for children under 13 to address concerns, The Associated Press reports. “We want to take the time to talk to parents and researchers and safety experts and get to more consensus about how to move forward,” Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri said.
  • The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation will hold a hearing Sept. 30 titled “Protecting Kids Online: Facebook, Instagram, and Mental Health Harms.”
