Compliance Week reports a recent accounting report shows Facebook put aside 302 million euros for expected EU General Data Protection Regulation fines from Ireland's Data Protection Commission. In its report, Facebook specifically noted it was planning for "amounts identified for administrative fines arising from various regulatory compliance matters principally under investigation by the relevant data protection supervisory authorities." The company also expects these penalties to be finalized and paid within the next two years.
