A growing use of artificial intelligence in business applications is leading to increased oversight from European privacy regulators, The Wall Street Journal reports. Data protection authorities in France, Spain and the Netherlands are opening units dedicated to AI oversight and enforcement, while lawmakers are in the process of negotiating the AI Act. With upcoming legislation, IAPP Principal Researcher, Technology Katharina Koerner, CIPP/US, said "it will just get more complex, it will still land on privacy professionals' desks."
