Estonia will be the first country to use blockchain technology as a method to ensure hackers can’t steal or manipulate government health care data, Quartz reports. Already, the country has enabled people to access their medical records or other data online. Adding the blockchain technology means hackers wouldn’t be able to “hide their tracks if they access or change data during an attack, and provide real-time alerts if a data breach occurs.”
