El proyecto de ley que regula la protección y el tratamiento de los datos personales se encuentra en la Comisión de Hacienda del Senado de Chile desde el 16 de marzo. El senador Harboe tiene la convicción que actualmente "hay tráfico de datos personales" y, por lo mismo, le pide al ministro que "de una vez por todas le ponga discusión inmediata al proyecto."
