In a blog post, U.K. Information Commissioner John Edwards announced his aim for a global children's code, pointing out that even with a code in the U.K., "the digital world is borderless, and so many of the online services children access are based outside of the UK." Edwards praised other parts of the world developing their own children's codes, including California, and said he will be in Washington, D.C., this month to discuss the U.K. Children's Code for a similar code in the U.S. Editor's note: John Edwards will speak tomorrow at the IAPP's Global Privacy Summit on U.K. ICO priorities for the year.
