The European Data Protection Supervisor launched an investigation into the EU's border agency, Frontex, for reportedly "automatically sharing" information of migrants with Europol following an audit of the agency, Politico reports. The EDPS warned "troves of Europeans' and migrants' data are likely being shared illegally with Europol" via Frontex's "Processing of Personal Data for Risk Analysis," which was established to support better sharing of national security information among member states in response to a string terrorist attacks in Europe in 2015.
