The European Data Protection Board found a potential adequacy decision for the U.K. may be affected by a data-sharing agreement with the U.S., Computer Weekly reports. The EDPB states the U.K. must ensure proper safeguards are in place within the agreement, which allows Great Britain and the U.S. to share data for criminal investigations. EDPB Chair Andrea Jelinek said in a letter the European Commission will take the agreement into account as it conducts "its overall assessment of the level of protection of personal data in the (U.K.)"
