The European Data Protection Board has published guidelines on the criteria for the right to be forgotten related to search engine cases under Article 17 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The guidance explains justifiable reasons a data subject can use when submitting a delisting request to a search engine provider, as well as exceptions to the right to request delisting. The deadline for public comments on the guidelines is Feb. 5, 2020.
