- Politico reports the European Data Protection Board is expected to decide on record fines potentially totaling more than 2 billion euros against Meta subsidiaries. Final decisions against Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp through the dispute-resolution process under Article 65 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation would occur at the EDPB's Dec. 5 plenary meeting.
- Politico also reports the Irish Data Protection Commission opened a probe into the potential exposure of more than 5 million EU and U.S. Twitter accounts. The DPC awaits a response to a letter seeking more information on the reported breach.
