With the recent departure of Commissioner Maureen Ohlhausen, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is now fully staffed with newcomers. Led by Chairman Joseph Simons, the FTC will unveil its priorities through its actions in the coming months and years: Will it focus more heavily on anti-trust? Consumer protection? Recently, a number of FTC commissioners appeared before the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection, where representatives sought to hear whether the FTC has the tools and resources it needs to protect consumers.
