Two senior executives at Desjardins credit union have been fired following a data breach that exposed the personal information of all 4.2 million members, CTV News reports. Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President Denis Berthiaume and Senior Vice President of Information Technology Chadi Habib are no longer with the credit union as a result of “internal verifications” made following the breach, which was made public in June, the company said. Desjardins will open a new security bureau to coordinate security initiatives and strategies implemented since the breach.
