The “class-action” lawsuit filed by Austrian law student Max Schrems in a commercial Vienna court has been rejected by the court, which reasoned it “doesn’t belong at the commercial court but belongs at the regional court for civil cases,” according to an IDG News Service report. The regional court will now decide to accept or reject the suit “as quickly as possible.” Schrems called the development “not a big deal.” The suit on Wednesday reached a self-set limit of 25,000 Facebook users who have joined on as claimants, each claiming $670 in damages. Another 20,000 Facebook users registered after the limit was reached.
