Clearview AI is developing a surveillance camera with facial recognition called Insight Camera, BuzzFeed News reports. The company’s website said the technology offers “the smartest security camera” that is available to preview for “select retail, banking and residential buildings.” The Insight Camera website was taken down after BuzzFeed requested comment. The report identified two organizations that experimented with the surveillance camera: the United Federation of Teachers and real estate firm Rudin Management. Editor's note: IAPP Editorial Director Jed Bracy wrote about Clearview AI in, "Will NYT's facial-recognition story sway privacy debate?"
