According to China's National Financial Standardization Technical Committee, the People's Bank of China released its "Financial Data Security — Data Security Classification Guidelines." The NFSTC explained that the guideline seeks to help financial institutions clarify data protection objectives in the sector to allocate resources that work toward creating a lasting security framework. The guideline also details the scope and goals of financial data security grading.
