A recent article for the Berkeley Journal of Entertainment and Sports Law looks to pull lessons from some of the most well-known hacks and cyberattacks in an effort to prevent similar attacks from happening in the future. Author Robert Kang writes that the first line of defense rests with the user, in what he refers to as the “human firewall.” Pointing to celebrity victims of cybercrimes, Kang writes, “it is possible to reduce the risk of becoming low hanging fruit by learning how to protect yourself against the methods employed by hackers.”
