Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh announced state residents won a settlement in a multistate, class-action data breach lawsuit against Carnival Cruise Line. Maryland Carnival customers are part of the class with customers in 46 states and are entitled to a share of the $1.25 settlement. The breach occurred in 2019 when the personal information of roughly 180,000 Carnival customers and employees was potentially exposed. Data included names, addresses, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, card payment information, health information and Social Security Numbers.
