The House of Commons of Canada passed Bill C-27, the Digital Charter Implementation Act, on second reading. The omnibus bill includes the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act, and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act. C-27 was referred to the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology for further consideration. Editor's note: nNovation's Shaun Brown broke down the proposed Consumer Privacy Protection Act.
