A new report from BT and KPMG found that 89 percent of surveyed C-suite personnel and directors are concerned about organized cybercrime, SC Magazine reports. Of those 100 executives queried, 97 percent said they have been the victims of a cyber breach, but only 22 percent said their organizations were prepared to fight a cyber incident perpetrated by organized crime. The report stated, “They need to work with telecoms companies, ISPs, banks, credit card providers, insurers, and the security industry in a concerted effort to make it harder and more costly for criminals to pursue their objectives.” Network World reports on moves by security vendors to stymie the rising tide of cyberthreats. “We have to win this war together,” said Carbon Black Chief Security Strategist Ben Johnson.
