Electrical company EnergyAustralia was hacked Sept. 30, exposing personally identifiable information of more than 300 customers, News.com reports. The company found the breach occurred as a result of “unauthorised access” of the customer online account platform. The company claimed “there was no evidence customer information was transferred outside of the company’s systems." After customers and authorities were notified, EnergyAustralia enhanced its password strength requirements.
