Brazil's Chamber of Deputies announced the introduction of Bill 4695/20, which seeks to protect students' privacy on remote-learning platforms. Proposed by Deputy Danilo Cabral, the bill requires learning platforms to abide by provisions of the General Data Protection Law while avoiding the collection and sharing of students' personal information. "We need to avoid potential damage to the privacy rights of those involved in remote school activities, both students and education professionals," Cabral said.
