Data intelligence platform BigID announced it has raised $50 million in Series C funding to help companies comply with global privacy regulations, TechCrunch reports. A number of investors participated in the round, including Bessemer Venture Partners, SAP.io Fund, Comcast Ventures and Salesforce Ventures. To date, the New York startup has raised more than $96 million to promote privacy compliance. The company also released a new version of its platform BigID Enterprise to help companies gather "detailed insight into what and whose data they collect and process" and "find, classify, inventory and map all their sensitive data."
