According to a Hunton Andrews Kurth Privacy & Information Security Law Blog post, the Belgian Data Protection Authority published an activity review since the EU General Data Protection Regulation came into force. Published Nov. 23, the review states that in six months since the GDPR took effect, 317 data breaches have been reported to the Belgian DPA, and 3,599 requests for information have been filed, along with 148 complaints and 137 advisory files. Available in both Dutch and French, the review assesses the impact of the GDPR, including the structural changes made to accommodate increased demand.
