The Australian Department of Home Affairs “is considering all options” to address data use concerns by TikTok and other social media platforms, The Sydney Morning Herald reports. The announcement follows British Parliament deactivating its TikTok account, after multiple MPs were sanctioned by the Chinese government. Australian MPs were warned by the Signals Directorate to keep a second phone exclusively for social media use, without mentioning TikTok specifically.
