The Association of National Advertisers asked Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., to delay enforcement of the California Consumer Privacy Act, MediaPost reports. In a letter to Newsom, the ANA cites the COVID-19 pandemic and regulatory uncertainty as the basis for their request to move the enforcement date back from July 1. The group also voiced its concerns with a proposed mandate that would allow consumers to opt out of the sale of their data at a global level.
