During Thursday’s round table discussion, at 10:45 a.m. in San Diego Ballroom B, current and former privacy experts with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration will share their insights on the trajectory of international privacy, the ITA’s role in shaping privacy policymaking and the path ahead for U.S. privacy on the international stage. Panelist Christopher Hoff, the Department of Commerce’s deputy assistant secretary for services, recently sounded off on negotiations toward a replacement EU-U.S. Privacy Shield in a piece by the IAPP’s Jennifer Bryant, Ryan Chiavetta and Joe Duball.
