Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey announced the opening of the state’s first cybersecurity operations center designed to facilitate faster detection and response times to threats against the state’s networks and data, StateScoop reports. Additionally, Alabama launched a website to educate the public about cybersecurity issues and terminology. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice’s Cybersecurity Unit issued updated best practices for victim response and reporting of cyber incidents.
