During the 21st Attorney General’s Conference, Fiji Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the country will soon begin discussions on appointing a privacy commissioner. The role would work closely with the online safety commissioner, he said. “We have some thought process around this and of course it needs to be elucidated further, discussed further and have more consultations whether we can actually have an online safety commissioner together with a privacy commissioner,” Sayed-Khaiyum said.
