The company faced allegations by plaintiffs it failed to properly secure sensitive personal information belonging to millions after hackers exploited a vulnerability in Accellion's platform.
  • ITMedia Solutions will pay $1.5 million in a settlement with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission over allegations the lead generation company collected and shared millions of consumers’ sensitive information. The FTC alleges ITMedia misled consumers into sharing sensitive data, including Social Security numbers and bank account information, and sold the data to marketing companies and others.
