The IAPP will host the Opening Night Reception for this year’s International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners on Tuesday, 27 October, at Het Scheepvaartmuseum, the national maritime museum in Amsterdam, and it promises to be an event you’ll not soon forget. In addition to an evening filled with food, drink, friends and conversation, the IAPP will be taking you into the world of George Orwell’s 1984 with an exhibit of our extensive collection of 1984 ephemera and art. Explore how artists throughout time have interpreted 1984 to gain new insight into the evolution of public moods, fears and expectations around privacy, while connecting with members of the global privacy community.
