The New York Times reports on the ongoing boom in the privacy technology vendor market and the factors driving its growth. OneTrust, BigID and TrustArc are among the companies cited as capitalizing most on companies' desires to streamline regulatory compliance for privacy laws in multiple jurisdictions. Gartner Analyst Bart Willemsen, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, views the growth as "reactions to an underlying problem" while each vendor offers "their own flavor … and they all have their own focus points."
