The IAPP has released its 2019 IAPP Privacy Professionals Salary Survey. More than 1,000 privacy pros responded to the survey, which was fielded in early 2019. This year, the IAPP focused on those working in-house in the private sector, government, academia or nonprofits and generally excluded outside counsel and consultants. In one key finding since the 2017 survey, median salaries overall have risen by more than $8,000 to $123,050, and additional compensation in the form of bonuses and raises is also up — the median value of additional compensation last year was $20,000.
