Privacy Program Senior Manager (2020-5964), Exact Sciences, Redwood City, CA Office or Remote

Summary of Major Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Privacy professional to join the Exact Sciences Privacy Office to partner with the laboratory and commercial business to embed privacy -by- design while creating policies and procedures to mitigate privacy risk. You'll work across marketing, technology, innovation, and R&D, to mention a few, to drive enterprise privacy initiatives, help create privacy-focused culture, educate stakeholders on why privacy matters, and how we can use data in an ethical way to build trust with our patients and consumers.

This position can be located in our Redwood City, CA office or Remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on the privacy implications of new products and procedures
  • Work with IT, business, legal, product managers, researchers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams integrate and mitigate privacy risk
  • Serve as a practical internal privacy resource for Exact Sciences business teams
  • Develop and maintain expert-level awareness of privacy legislation and policy frameworks that are impactful to Exact Sciences
  • Ability to manage and prioritize cross-functional projects
  • Effectively collaboratively with internal and external experts from multiple disciplines
  • Help the team to identify and articulate the privacy impact of projects to include benefits, risks, and change management considerations
  • Adept with influencing and persuasion
  • Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues when critical risks arise and maintain pulse with project activities to ensure progress
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed global organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of Privacy (or other related) experience to include International Privacy framework management (GDPR focused), Privacy Investigations, creating Privacy training to educate and drive compliance, and Privacy Policy and Procedure development
  • CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) qualified or 6 years of Privacy focused experience
  • 3+ years working in a business-facing project management role
  • Familiar with developing and managing a Data Life Cycle program
  • Data De-identification Program management familiarity
  • Demonstrated success with oral and written communications/presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
