Privacy Director, Western Digital Corporation, Milpitas, CA or San Jose, CA or Irvine, CA

The position will initially focus on implementing FY18 privacy plan goals and GDPR readiness programs such as privacy by design, impact assessments, data flow mapping, incident response, data transfers, training & communication, and vendor processing agreements.

 Requirements include: strong academic record (JD preferred), 7-9 years in privacy with related training and/or certifications with deep knowledge of global privacy laws, technical systems and controls,  online and offline data collection, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable practical experience working on products, worker data and consumer privacy challenges, policies and procedures, work flows, data mapping. He/she will have a keen attention to detail, effective communication skills, and be able to work independently managing multiple projects simultaneously under deadline. Regular travel, including international travel, may be required.
