This booklet, published by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of Hong Kong aims at raising awareness among local businesses of the possible impact of the new regulatory framework for data protection in the European Union stemming from the upcoming implementation of the GDPR. Also included are comparisons to the GDPR of some of the major requirements with those set out in the Personal Data Ordinance, Laws of Hong Kong (Cap 486) (PDPO).
