The House of Representatives yesterday voted to approve the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act amidst a White House veto threat and advocacy groups' concerns about privacy and civil liberties infringements, the NationalJournal reports. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) said, "There is no surveillance, none, not any in this bill," and Rep. Mary Bono Mack (R-CA) said, "Frankly, the privacy concerns are exaggerated." Reps. Joe Barton (R-TX) and Ed Markey (D-MA) voted against the bill, saying in a joint statement, "If this piece of legislation had a privacy policy, it would be 'You have no privacy!'"
