The chairman of the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) has assured that the personal data of British citizens will be well protected by the ISA, reports The Register. The authority controls a database that contains "ultra-sensitive personal data," according to the report. ISA Chairman Roger Singleton said, "our staff have been really very thoroughly trained on the importance of information," and that "information doesn't leave the building either electronically or in paper form." The database in question is intended to help vet candidates for positions working with children and vulnerable adults.
