Politico reports former high-level information security employees for Amazon attempted to warn the company about its inadequate security practices. The ex-employees claim the technology company does not have a strong understanding of what data it has in its possession, who has access to such information and where it is located. "These inaccurate, unsubstantiated and dated claims don’t reflect our commitment to keeping personal information safe," an Amazon spokesman said. "Amazon has comprehensive, long-established privacy and security policies, procedures and technologies in place."
