Though the company planned to nix the program and its data for almost a year, aiming to rebuild Meta with privacy in mind, Andrew Bosworth, vice president of augmented and virtual reality at Facebook and soon-to-be chief technologist, proposed against cutting the tech altogether in favor of implementing it into metaverse development.
