New Zealand Privacy Commissioner Michael Webster called for stricter privacy laws and an increase in funding to combat growing privacy concerns, RNZ reports. Webster said organizations have had limited consequences for violating privacy laws after complaints to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner increased by 79% in the past year.
