The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity for the Internet of Things program released two publications that were discussed during a June 22 virtual workshop, “Building on the NIST Foundations: Next Steps in IoT Cybersecurity.” NIST said the essays, “Ideas for the Future of IoT Cybersecurity at NIST: IoT Risk Identification Complexity” and “A Profile of the IoT Core Baseline for Consumer IoT Products,” have a central role during the workshop focused on “considerations around cybersecurity for IoT products, including consumer products.”
