Two Google users filed a lawsuit against the technology company alleging its real-time bidding system violates users’ privacy, MediaPost reports. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, stated “Google actively sells and shares consumers’ personal information with thousands of entities,” including “very sensitive information Google promised it would not use for advertising purposes.” The data sold can identify individuals, locations, internet communications and sensitive personal information, the suit argued.
