A data breach of a dental administrative network potentially compromised the data and personal health information of 125,760 U.S. dental patients in 10 states, InfoSecurity Magazine reports. The system's data and email was accessed through a phishing scam by a bad actor at the end of March 2021, though the Professional Dental Alliance has yet to find any evidence of misuse of the data. Data compromised in the breach may have included names, physical and email addresses, phone numbers, dental information, insurance information, and Social Security and financial account numbers.
