Denmark's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, announced the Eastern High Court ruled in a case against hotel chain Arp-Hansen, resulting in a fine of DKK1 million. Director Cristina Angela Gulisano said the court "broadly" agreed with a 2020 assessment by the Datatilsynet over the company's alleged noncompliance with data erasure deadlines involving approximately 500,000 customer profiles.
