A class-action lawsuit against Partnership HealthPlan of California claims the health care provider failed to protect sensitive user data and properly disclose a ransomware attack that compromised data of 850,000 people, the Times Standard reports. Janssen Malloy Partner Megan Yarnall said it appears Partnership HealthPlan did not take “reasonable steps to protect folks’ privacy and keep that information secure from hackers.” The firm hopes to “get some remedies for people who are now the victims of this breach,” she said.
