Human rights groups are pushing back against the proposed U.K. Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill over claims it violates individuals' data rights, Computer Weekly reports. The bill provides for the collection and sharing of crime data on alleged criminals involved in "serious violence." In addition to data rights issues, the advocates believe the bill could increase discriminatory policing practices and decrease trust in public services over fears of having data used against them.
