CBC News reports Eastern Health, Newfoundland and Labrador's largest health authority, notified 37,800 individuals about their involvement in an October 2021 data breach. The number of affected individuals, which includes patients along with past and present employees, is equal to one in every 13 Newfoundland and Labrador residents. Unidentified personal information was accessed and stolen during the breach, which seized control of the authority's servers.
